Jennifer Shirner, PA

Coming Soon

Jennifer grew up in Ohio and moved to North Carolina to attend the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill where she earned her bachelor’s degree in environmental studies and played on the varsity volleyball team. She went on to earn her master’s degree in teaching for biology at Western Carolina University. After several years in education she realized her true passion for medicine. In 2010 she returned to school at James Madison University to become a Physician Assistant. She has been working as a PA in the family medicine and urgent care settings for the last 10 years.

Jennifer recognizes the importance of care that focuses on a comprehensive lifestyle approach. Her practice draws from conventional medicine but also incorporates other proven natural therapies with a strong emphasis on prevention and health promotion. She focuses her practice on listening to and partnering with patients to individualize care for each unique person. She is excited to serve and work with the community where she lives and which she loves.

When she is not in the office she is spending time with her husband, two young boys, and dog. You can find her on a trail, a river, or working on her “fixer upper.”
