Wonderful Wild Foods of the Southern Appalachians with Luke Cannon @ Glen Rock Community Space

Interested in local wild foods? Join us for a fun and illuminating presentation highlighting many of our finest Appalachian wild edible plants and fungi. In this presentation Luke will discuss many of his spring and summer favorites as well as harvesting ethics, philosophies, best practices, and a variety of preparation methods. This is a great primer for Luke’s plant walk with us coming up on Saturday, June 8th!

More than a botanist, Luke Cannon is an avid naturalist and long time pursuer and teacher of our astounding natural world. His passion for exploring the ecological intricacies of our living planet have inspired his studies of plants, birds, insects, lichens, fungi, and more. Luke offers regular classes and walks in Western North Carolina to share his knowledge of the local ecology and enthusiasm for building closer relationships with the wilds around us. Find him at www.AstoundingEarth.com

If you are interested in attending the class, Please RSVP by clicking on this link and registering by  May 16 at 12:00pm. The class is free for Integrative Life Members. There is a suggested donation of $5 for non-members. Donations will go to our monthly non-profit beneficiary.
