Integrative Family Medicine of Asheville

This class will explain the core concepts of an anti-inflammatory diet. Inflammation is the body’s first healing response, and chronic inflammation is credited as the root of many serious illnesses. Stress, lifestyle, pre-disposition, and nutrition all play a role in inflammation. By altering your diet to include more foods that reduce and less foods that produce inflammation you can further heal and fuel your body.

Katherine partners with people in making nutrition and lifestyle changes to achieve optimal wellness. Katherine specializes in the connection between the gut and physical and mental wellbeing, nutritional supplementation, and the correlation between inflammation, food sensitivities, food allergies and illness. Katherine provides nutrition consultations at Integrative Family Medicine and is the Integrative Health Director at CooperRiis, a residential therapeutic mental health community. She also practices as a private nutrition consultant in the Asheville community. Katherine is experienced in conducting nutritional assessments, facilitating groups, teaching classes, and providing one on one health coaching. Katherine has a Master of Science in Holistic Nutrition and is a certified natural chef.

If you are interested in attending the class, please RSVP to [email protected]. The class is free for Integrative Life Members. There is a suggested donation of $5 for non-members. Donations will go to our monthly non-profit beneficiary.
