Macy Carder is a Morgantown, WV, native who moved to Asheville in the summer of 2020. She received her Bachelors in Biomedical Engineering (2019) and Masters in Health Science (2020) from West Virginia University.
She has experience in medical research and clinical aspects, as she previously worked as a medical scribe in the Emergency/Family Medicine departments at WVU Medicine while researching the effects of Opioids on the Appalachian region setting when finishing grad school.
Her hobbies include staying up to date on biomedical research, hiking, traveling, tasting all the food options Asheville has to offer, and spending time with her little dog, Kevin. Her eventual career goal is medical school, so when she’s not in clinic, she’s likely studying for her entrance examination. She is elated to join the Integrative Family Medicine of Asheville family as a Medical Assistant and looks forward to learning from the providers and patients alike!
